During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Bonus Challenge! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens, Gold and Credits!
You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission.
There will be Bonus Challenge Missions available for each new card release to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens and subsidize their cost. Players can also expect the rewards to be stabilized at 200 Tokens to help them plan their token budget for the month.
A Blink in Time: Bonus Challenge – May 31, 2024
This week’s Bonus Challenge Missions are:
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 500 Power’s worth of Cards | 500 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Sasquatch starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with The Infinaut starting in your Deck | 4 | 100 Credits |
Second Dinner has changed the formula for the Bonus Challenge Missions in the A Blink in Time season. Below is a message from Griffin that explains the changes.
We wanted to share a reminder that we’re continuing our experiment with weekend Missions featuring the Season Pass card. This month we’ll be featuring Blink for the first weekend with consolidated rewards of 600 Gold. The following weekend Missions this Season will feature cards that synergize with Blink or the new Spotlight card of the week. As always, please share your feedback with us!
Griffin – Second Dinner
Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you four different decks that incorporate both cards featured each weekend.
We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the decks and finish the missions quickly. First, let’s take a quick look at the new card’s performance this week.

Sasquatch Performance

Sasquatch was the last card to be released for the A Blink in Time Season and it was potentially the most hyped. Big stats that can have their cost reduced have historically been very strong in Marvel Snap, and this one reduces when you play cards—something almost every deck in Marvel Snap wants to do. However, it starts as a 6-Cost, so reducing this card significantly requires you to play a lot of cards. Is this too big of an ask for the card to be successful?
Well, the answer isn’t a simple yes or no. Prior to her release the immediate homes seemed to only be Bounce decks and decks that could significantly reduce the cost. It appears, however, that the most successful directions for Sasquatch have actually been just regular Marvel Snap decks.

Small packages of good value cards can easily reduce the cost of Sasquatch to three or four on demand, and that appears to be the sweet spot to aim for. This allows her to come down early enough to be played before cards like Professor X or alongside cards like Sage on later turns. This also doesn’t require you to have to build your entire deck around reducing the cost of the card.
The issue for the card is not in its strength but in how it only provides marginal stats and isn’t always the game-winning card. This makes it feel less powerful than many with dreams of [0/10]s expected. The reality is that any deck that can play two cards in a turn can usually play Sasquatch easier than Cull Obsidian, and it is sometimes cheaper as an added benefit. It has a universal effect, but even with changes to synergizing effects this card is likely to show up in many decks going forward. With the only requirement being playing cards, the options for where you can play Sasquatch are very wide—and you don’t need to build around her to make that happen.

Two cards that elevate the new card’s ceiling are the Stat Reduction Package of Mockingbird and Mysterio. These two cards alone can be enough of a package for the new card to be included. Mysterio counts as three cards played in the turn, which makes Sasquatch playable on Turn 3. This is then followed up by a 2-Cost Mockingbird. The package can be “extended” with more support for Mockingbird, but those cards are usually not specifically due to the inclusion of Sasquatch. However, extending the package has been used in many interesting ways.
Destroy, for example, has evolved into a deck that can use Squirrel Girl to reduce the cost of Mockingbird, Death, and Sasquatch. Blue Marvel can be partnered with these cards to create a very different style of Destroy where you aim to fill the board. There was one set of synergy cards that were not as great as many assumed they would be.

That’s not to say the Bounce decks with Sasquatch are bad; they are fine and she synergizes with them well. However, the ceiling of these decks was not raised by her release. It turns out that Sage was the better card in these decks, and it is starting to push out other ways of building Bounce decks in favor of maximizing her power. The Sasquatch versions of Bounce work well, but you don’t need Sasquatch to play the best Bounce decks.

Sasquatch does, however, have two big counters, the first of which is Shang-Chi. This is incredibly effective, but it’s more due to the current meta’s lack of respect for the card. Many players are throwing down Sasquatch early and without protection, which opens up a really simple target lane for Shang-Chi to be played (potentially on curve, too). Mobius M. Mobius is also a huge counter into these decks because they are often looking to do lots of cost reductions. If Mobius M. Mobius hits the board, you can severely limit your opponent’s game plan against those decks. On the other hand, Caiera may be a card we’ll start seeing more of as Sasquatch decks become refined since she can stop at least one of the simple counters.
Should You Buy Sasquatch?
Sasquatch is already making an impact in Marvel Snap, and I believe this is a card that is likely to find its way into more decks rather than fall out of favor. It is simple to use and can be easily abused. This card is easy to recommend, but some of the best decks that include her also include plenty of Series 4 and 5 cards. As such, getting maximum value from her can be expensive, but her ability to be included within “all-in” strategies as well as decks that only look to knock one or two points off her cost make her a card that is worth picking up.
Post-release score: 8/10
Professor X
As is the case with a lot of cards right now, the most successful direction appears to have emerged as a deck that gets ahead early and then slams down Professor X. This deck does that by playing Mysterio to reduce the cost of both Mockingbird and Sasquatch effectively. Then, once the lane is locked down, Cannonball can come through to finish the other lane. It’s a simple yet effective way to play the card.
Death
As an alternative way to play the card, the Destroy Package has merged with the Sasquatch Package to make a deck that can reduce the cost of multiple high power cards simultaneously. This allows for the deck to put out lots of stats with ease, and it can even use Annihilus to send over cards like The Void and The Hood for some disruption.
Beast
This Bounce deck is looking to explode on the final turn, and it uses Mysterio to reduce the cost of Sasquatch to enable this. The rest of the deck all works really well with Beast. Picking up your cards and replaying them later for less produces a lot of power that you can easily relocate.
The Infinaut Decks
The Infinaut is part of one of the best decks to play right now with Hela Blink. So this weekend we are featuring a pair of Hela decks to try out. Highly recommend if you want to see the mindset to play Hela at its best to check out the inspiration for the second deck HuskyPuppies on Twitch. The basic plan is simple but you must be comfortable taking the risks with this one and going for it.
Come back later for new decks featuring The Infinaut! For more deck inspiration, browse the deck database.
Closing Thoughts
Wins with the new card may seem a tall order some weeks depending what quality of card is released. Hopefully this guide helps you decide first if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, and what you can potentially play to complete the missions quickly!
Good Luck, Have Fun, and Stay Safe!
