Marvel Snap’s contents of the Spotlight Caches for the June 2024 Season (starting June 4, 2024) has been revealed! Each week, three cards will be featured in the Spotlight Caches, and their corresponding Spotlight Variants if you have already collected the card. We recommend that you carefully choose the cards you want, and save up at least four Spotlight Caches to open to get your desired card. So take a look at the Spotlight Cache card release schedule below, and plan ahead!
You will also be able to find the full Spotlight Cache release schedule for past, current, and upcoming months in our dedicated new card release guide or schedule page:

| Thena | 5 | Francesco Tomaselli |
| 4 | Luca Claretti | |
| Grand Master | 5 | Ryan Benjamin |
Kicking off this season is the newest powerhouse 2-drop, Thena! Kitty Pryde decks rejoice as a new way to pump a location drops this week. If you draw Thena by turn 2, you could effectively make her a [2/13] by turn 6. This does require very specific 2-card plays each turn, so it will be very interesting to see if this card can consistently hit high Power levels. Even on a more reserved side, a [2/4] is considered good stats, and that is only 1 trigger. Anything beyond that makes her a good card.

| Sersi | 5 | Francesco Tomaselli |
| Miek | 4 | Alberto Dal Lago |
| 4 | David Mack |
Sersi is our new card for this week, and she definitely peaks my interest for most intriguing ability of the season. Since she transforms ALL of your cards in a location, she opens new play styles for cards previously limited to other decks. Brood, for example, can become 3 different 4-Cost cards! In a Sera list, Brood and Sersi could be played together, making for a wacky way to add massive Power on turn 6! She also works great with Mockingbird to generate new cards on the board. She even makes an interesting counter to Junk decks, as the Junk could actually be transformed into something useful! I can’t tell if this card will be good, but she will definitely be super fun.

Please note: Gladiator on June 4th has been swapped with
| Card | Series | Variant |
|---|---|---|
| Makkari | 5 | Francesco Tomaselli |
| Gladiator | 4 | Ryan Benjamin |
| X-23 | 5 | Hellfire Gala |
Halfway through the season brings our tamest card so far, Makkari. Basically acting as a power creep M'Baku, this card looks like a simple “meh” card. While it could be decent in Silver Surfer, 3 Power is a small amount of Power, and isn’t a strong enough ability to warrant cutting another card for often times. I don’t think the card is inherently bad, I just don’t think she is as good as other cards this season and will be easily overlooked.
To better bring attention to her cache, X-23 and Gladiator offer support as very strong cards. X-23 is the backbone to many Destroy decks. Gladiator is a solid Mill card, as well as popular in Sera control lists. While still a decent week for cards to get, a bit underwhelming for the new card compared to the others. Remember, Gladiator will be dropping to Series 4 as well.
Week of June 25, 2024
| Card | Series | Variant |
|---|---|---|
| Phastos | 5 | Francesco Tomaselli |
| Spider-Ham | 4 | Wendell Dalit |
| Corvus Glaive | 5 | Seth Adams |
As if Silver Surfer didn’t have enough good cards, Phastos arrives this week to take Surfer decks to the next level. Phastos is actually a card you want to make room for in your deck. Cheaper cards or more Power is a win either way, so his ability is almost always getting great value. Even outside of Surfer decks, this card could see play in other decks with such a strong ability.
Corvus Glaive and Spider-Ham return this week to the Spotlight Cache! When Corvus first released, I thought he would be very lackluster. In reality, he gave Hela decks an alternate play line if you discard (or don’t draw) Hela. The extra Energy just let’s you play out your bigger cards. If you draw the Hela, you usually win with the extra discard you got from Corvus.
Spider-Ham has seen quite a few changes, but he is still plenty viable and plenty annoying to face. While he sees less play in metas that use big cards, Hela, and The Infinaut, he is still a great option and worth having. This week might be competing for the best value yet this season!
Week of July 2, 2024
| Card | Series | Variant |
|---|---|---|
| Arishem | 5 | Francesco Tomaselli |
| Black Swan | 5 | Francesco Tomaselli |
| Hercules | 5 | Jay Anacleto |
While the season is ending this week, the craziest card in quite some time is saved for the finale! Arishem is the wackiest, fascinating, bad card I’ve seen in a while. It’s like asking for District X to shuffle with your deck each game, but only for you. I don’t see how you ever make this card meta, but he will make streamers go wild with content.
Black Swan and Hercules signal that you should just save your keys this week. Both of these cards were dead on arrival and see virtually no play anywhere in the meta. Unless you are dying to throw resources away to have some laughs with Arishem, stay away from this cache!
