The witch hunt against disruptive cards keeps going as Second Dinner added an extra OTA to their schedule. However, the bigger changes should come from meaningful changes to Fan Fei, Debrii or M’baku. Combined with the new season, this should create quite a slew of changes to make the Infinite climb more fun.

Nerfs
Now a [3/7]
It is still unclear whether Debrii is a nerf or just a change. At first, I expect it to be a weird feeling not sending rocks to our opponent any more, largely limiting our ability to Clog. Yet, a bonus 4-power is nothing to be ashamed of either.
I don’t expect the card to remain inside the Clog synergy, but [3/7] is good enough to see play.

Now a [4/8]
Misery was a solid card as a [4/8] and I remember many didn’t feel the need to bump it to 9-power back then.
It is a nerf, but should not impact the card too much.

Now a [5/6]
Arguably the best disruptive card in the game alongside Shadow King at the moment, CGR is a logical target for Second Dinner’s philosophy to limit disruption in today’s game.
I don’t think the card will go away, but Red Guardian or Mobius M. Mobius should see more play with a weaker CGR.
Buffs
Now a [5/9]
Vision is a strong, flexible 5-cost many decks can use to fill that slot when a synergistic card doesn’t exist for that particular deck. That extra power will help the card fill that role even more.
Plus, the release of Superior Spider-Man made 5-cost card stronger since we got another way to get 5 energies on turn four.
Now a [2/7]
I can’t believe this will change anything, but it is a good reason to give the card another try.

Now a [1/3]
This change makes M’Baku possess the same power as Lockjaw, which could open the door for that duo in Cerebro 3. Otherwise, the card could see play in decks with Lockjaw or Blink already in the mix and lacking a 1-cost. Maybe Arishem will be interested in the card again.
Now a [4/4] that reads : 4/4 – Activate: Your other cards here get +1 Power. Move them to the right.
This is clearly a buff considering how Human Torch operates. Yet, it will still be difficult to earn a spot in decks already using Hellion, Heimdall, Madame Web, Sparky and Araña.

This one didn’t need to be buffed, and Second Dinner seems to know it, but they want to give us other options outside Human Torch.
I don’t think this will create another deck, but just give Move even more firepower to overwhelm the opponent with sheer numbers.
New Decks
M’Baku and Debrii and the two biggest changes in my opinion. Fan Fei, Vision and Hydra Stomper will also have an impact, but these likely will be just see more play in the same archetypes we already knew them. The same could be said about Cosmic ghost Rider, which will lose some momentum, but arguably remain a solid disruptive piece for decks unable to win on sheer amount of points.
That’s it for this OTA review. You can find everyone from the Marvel Snap Zone team in our community discord, alongside plenty of people to share your excitement about those changes.
Good Game Everyone!
