With the launch of the newest Spotlight Cache comes a HUGE bug players are reporting. Instead if being guaranteed the 4 cards within the linup, players are reporting you can miss the featured cards and end up with variants or tokens instead! So if you open 4 Caches and try to unlock the newest card U.S. Agent, you may not get him at all and be stuck with a random variant or tokens. As a result, Spotlight Caches have been disabled until resolution.
I have not used keys myself to test this bug, but posts like this are littering the Marvel Snap reddit page. One player claimed to have opened 4 Spotlight Caches and did not receive Jeff, despite being an older card that is also featured this week. Comments of the same post claim to be getting multiple token rewards, indicating the mystery S4/5 card can be pulled before getting the other features.
So far, Second Dinner has only acknowledged the issue and that they are working on it. They also recommend players not to open Spotlight Caches while they work to resolve the issue, and has been disabled as a result. Players who are effected by this will very likely be compensated, but I do not recommend opening caches in hopes of getting compensation later.
We will update this with any news of a fix or compensation that follows as soon as a statement is made.

✅ Spotlight Cache Bug Resolution:
Good news! We have a solution and compensation plan for the recent Spotlight Cache issues! Thanks for your patience as we’ve been investigating, testing, and preparing the fix. Later today, we’ll be rolling out the following plan…‼️ For players that have been impacted by the Spotlight Cache issue that began on Apr 9 @ 12PM PT:
- All Spotlight Keys spent while the bug was active will be refunded.
- Players will keep all rewards they received from the previously spent Spotlight Keys.
- The Spotlight Cache will now accurately display and track previously earned rewards from the system.
➡️ “Impacted” means that if you had a broken Spotlight Cache banner and any of the initial 4 rewards you were supposed to have access to were not available within your first 4 opens.Additionally, we are sending 500 Gold to all players that have unlocked access to Spotlight Cache feature and logged in while the bug was active. Keep an eye on your inbox, this will be sent in the next week!

Spotlight Cache Bug Update: Hey folks, thanks again for your patience. We have figured out the problem and have some options for how to fix it. We are still in the process of figuring out the best player experience fix and the right compensation to provide.

Spotlight Cache Bug Update: As we continue to work towards a resolution, we’ll be disabling Spotlight Caches and Spotlight Keys. You will still be able to collect Spotlight Keys. When the feature is re-enabled, you’ll see the updated count for whatever you claimed during downtime.

We’ve identified a bug that is causing issues with this week’s Spotlight Cache rewards. Thank you for the reports. We’re actively working to solve the problem and we’ll update you when we have more news.
In the meanwhile, we recommend NOT using your Spotlight Keys until the bug has been fixed
